For independent colourists & salon owners

Know every gram.
Know every dollar.

Colour is the one thing in your salon that gets weighed, mixed and thrown away — usually without anyone knowing what it cost. MixMargin prices the bowl while you mix it.

Flat service prices

A 30g root touch-up and a 180g corrective bill the same. One of them is paying for the other.

Backbar as one lump

The wholesale invoice lands monthly. Nothing ties it back to the head it went on.

Formulas in a notebook

The one page you need is the one that got wet, went home with someone, or never existed.

What the product actually does

Four things, done properly.

Bowls

Cost every bowl to the gram

Each ticket holds named bowls — Root, Toner, Gloss. Add shades and grams; MixMargin divides wholesale cost by container grams and prices the bowl at your markup. Any unpriced product flags the bowl as a partial estimate instead of quietly guessing.

Formulas

The formula lives on the client

Completing a ticket writes the formula to the client's colour timeline — every bowl, every gram, every shade code. "Repeat last formula" rebuilds the whole ticket for the next visit.

Backbar

Inventory deducts itself

Completing a session subtracts the grams you actually mixed from stock. Low-stock thresholds surface per brand, and unpriced shades are called out so your costing never runs on blanks.

Money

From bowl to invoice

A completed session generates an invoice with colour charges, add-ons and service fees already broken out — issued, numbered, and printable, with tax handled by effective-dated rates.

Business proof

The numbers come from the bowls.

Nothing in reports is typed in twice. Product cost, revenue and profit are the same figures the ticket used when it priced your mix — which is why the invoice, the ledger and the report can never disagree.
